Still Learning

Well, I'm on lesson 3 of Jessica Sprague's "UP and Running with Photoshop." I am by no means an expert (I'm not even really good!). But I have learned some valuable tricks!! Here's the latest digital layout. She literally walked me through step-by-step. But how else do you learn? Enjoy!

Learning Curve

Where have I been lately? Trying to figure out Photoshop. AAGGHHH!!! Big learning curve. But here's my first project. Don't get too excited. I created it with the help on an on-line tutorial that practically held my hand. Enjoy!

Here's another.

Summer Fun and Happy 4th!!

First let me say Happy Fourth of July! We're headed to the Sewell ranch for some fun with friends. But I wanted to share Faith's patriotic style....this is serious USA love!!

What have we been up to lately? EVERYTHING. I'm one of those moms who over-schedules. Can't help it - but the kids love it. Faith had her first golf lesson Thursday. Doesn't she look the part?

She had lots of fun. It took a few minutes for her figure out how to get the bag on her shoulders (she kind of looked like a dog chasing it's tail!!) but the coach said she did great and she loved drinking Gatorade, racing the "boy" team in the golf cart and hanging out with two sweet "big girls" (6th graders) who took her under their wings.
Other than that we do a lot of swimming with friends. Faith and Morgan had a great time playing "imaginary" role-play (usually one is the mother and one is the daughter - but it varies!! Sometimes it's Ariel and Ursula too!) Meanwhile Olivia and Landry are BEST FRIENDS. It is the cutest thing. They love to count to three and jump in the water together!! We are so blessed with wonderful friends!!

Amen

Faith is many things. If you know her you know she is smart, athletic, kind, caring, mischievous and most of all creative. (Example: yesterday she told her tennis coach that she was left handed. Then she proceeded to make up a story about being one of only three "lefties" in her class...etc., etc.) Ok, maybe it's fibbing but we call it creative! But I'm not worried, because more than anything else, Faith is abnormally mature with her - well, faith. She has a gift for saying lovely, heartfelt, and thoughtful prayers. We don't really know where she gets it - but her conversations with God are always inspired. And, she is a student of bible stories. This year, she learned every verse in her kindergarten curriculum at church. And that's no easy task. We love her. Jesus loves her. She is a young lady filled with faith! Below is a certificate she received for accomplishing this task and a crown. Each of the paper "jewels" includes the verses she memorized this year.
