Farkle, Cartwheels & Snails!!

We are having a great visit to Amarillo to see Gram and Gramps. It's always so relaxed and fun....with games and plenty of new adventures in the back yard. First, Farkle - a dice game that the family has played forever. As the name implies - if you roll a "loser" hand - you "Farkle"!! See below!





Next - cartwheels in the back yards. Not just Faith - but Brad!! Take a look.


And finally, snails. The backyard is filled with them and Faith & Olivia loved doing "research" about them. In fact Faith even wrote a paper. So smart!

Reagan - Here We Go Again

So Monday they did the "lottery" to see who gets into magnet schools in Odessa. As most of you know Brad and I really would like Faith to attend the "academic" magnet school - Reagan Elementary. It's a great school, phenomenal test scores, and most of our friends go there. But we didn't get in for kindergarten. She passed the test, but we were number 21 on the waiting list. So we tested again this year - passed the test and now we wait!! Letters should be mailed out Monday or maybe sooner. These pictures were taken the day of the test. Faith was totally unfazed. In fact she thought the 1.5 hour test was fun!! I'll let you know what we find out. Either way - we'll (she'll) be fine. LBJ is awesome. We've had an amazing year and a great start to her educational future.
